Manila, July 13 -- Mayor Sara Z. Duterte said Monday she received information that the National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) is set to revert the entire city to general community quarantine (GCQ) from the current modified GCQ on July 15.

Duterte said the local government will appeal the reversion.

"We will try to appeal because there is a remedy allowed on the local government units provided that we can comply with the data needed by the IATF," she pointed out.

She said the decision of the IATF could be attributed due to the rising coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases and the "disobedience" of some Dabawenyos in following heath protocols by health authorities.
