MANILA, Nov. 19 -- Inflation in the Caraga Region rose to 1.5 percent in October, up from 1.3 percent in September, the Philippine Statistics Authority reported Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2025).

Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels drove the increase with a 6.7 percent inflation rate, accounting for 75.9 percent of the overall rise.

Restaurants and accommodation services at 4.1 percent and transport at 2.0 percent also contributed. Air transport fares surged 54.7 percent within the transport sector.

Butuan City posted the highest inflation at 4.9 percent. Surigao del Sur and Dinagat Islands, however, recorded deflation at -0.8 percent and -0.5 percent, respectively.
