Manila, April 30 -- Lawmakers on Wednesday described the House of Representatives as an "engine for real reforms and responsive governance," after a recent survey showed the Chamber as the top-performing government agency.
In a news release, House Deputy Majority Leader Paolo Ortega V said the survey results reflected growing public trust in the House's performance under Speaker Martin Romualdez, citing its focus on responsive legislation and social programs.
"Speaker Romualdez has redefined leadership in the House by putting people first. Under his stewardship, the House has become the engine for real reforms and responsive governance," Ortega said.
