Manila, Dec. 22 -- In honor of the late Rep. Romeo Acop, the House of Representatives on Monday adopted a resolution expressing its "profound condolences" to his family, glorifying the life and service of the veteran legislator who passed away on Dec. 20, at 78.
Speaker Faustino "Bojie" G. Dy III, House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos and House Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan introduced House Resolution (HR) No. 601 to recognize Acop's decades-long service in government and his lasting contributions to public order, good governance and the rule of law.
