MANILA, Nov. 26 -- Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Wednesday said former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co's allegations on social media have no legal value unless he files a sworn affidavit or appears before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

In an ANC interview, Hontiveros said Co must follow proper procedures - including notarization or apostille certification - before investigators can act on his claims.

"Kailangan panindigan niya kung totoo (He must stand by his claims if they are true)," she said.

She added many of Co's assertions are covered by sworn testimonies before the committee, including that of witness Orly Guteza, stressing that accountability "cannot be based on social media posts."
