Manila, Jan. 6 -- Passenger traffic at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) reached almost 2.6 million during the recent holidays, up 6.86 percent from year-over-year (YoY).

The New NAIA Infra Corp.(NNIC) recorded 2,589,889 passengers from Dec. 20, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026.

The NNIC also reported that passenger volume peaked at 180,089 last Jan. 4 --the highest single-day passenger volume recorded so far.

Flights also increased by 3.29 percent YoY. NAIA handled 13,766 flights in the recent holidays, compared to 13,766 domestic and international flights the previous holiday period.
