Manila, June 2 -- The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring rains across Luzon on Monday, the weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said monsoon rains are forecast over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, and Bataan.
It will also cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cavite, Batangas, Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and the rest of Central Luzon.
Floods and landslides are possible in those areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, habagat will also cause isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.
