Manila, Jan. 15 -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported a stable inflation in Guimaras in December last year, maintaining its -1.3 percent rate from the preceding month.
Guimaras is the only province in Western Visayas that registered a negative inflation in December.
In a virtual press conference on Thursday, PSA Guimaras Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida Losare said the province experienced negative inflation for six months last year.
"This resulted in a year-to-date average inflation of 0.1 percent in 2025, indicating generally subdued price movements in the province compared with Western Visayas at 1.5 percent and the national average at 1.7 percent," Losare said.
