Manila, Aug. 8 -- The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Friday broke ground its new Davao branch along McArthur Highway in Matina.

It is expected to open to the public by 2026.

GSIS Chairperson Rodolfo del Rosario led the ceremony, joined by GSIS officer-in-charge Juliet Bautista, Acting Senior Vice President for VisMin Operations Isagani del Rosario, and officials from the Davao, Kidapawan, and Tagum branches.

"This project represents our promise to bring government service closer to the people. We are building not just a new office but a stronger connection with our members in Mindanao," Chairperson del Rosario said in his remarks.
