Manila, April 10 -- A group of lawyers led by former solicitor general Jose Anselmo Cadiz on Thursday requested the Supreme Court (SC) to order concerned government agencies to disclose details on the supply agreement for the procurement of the Covid-19 vaccines from 2020 to 2022.
In their petition for certiorari and mandamus, they asked the SC to order the Department of Health, Department of Finance, Department of Budget and Management, and Commission on Audit to allow them access to copies of the supply agreements and details of the procurement and liquidation of the vaccines.
The government spent PHP113.485 billion to finance the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines to inoculate about 114 million Filipinos eligible for vaccination.
