BUTUAN CITY, Dec. 1 -- The Dinagat Islands provincial government released over PHP1.5 million in medical assistance to 10l, officials reported Monday.

Governor Nilo Demerey Jr. said their Remedy program provides critical support for hospitalization, dialysis and funeral services.

"Through the Remedy Action Center, we are turning compassion into concrete support for our people, especially those in need," Demerey said.

The aid was distributed to patients at three hospitals in Surigao City, with the Surigao Medical Center receiving the largest share, according to a news release.

Recipients expressed gratitude for the assistance.
