Manila, June 23 -- The government is rolling out starting next month the Unified Persons with Disabilities (PWD) ID System in 35 towns and cities across the country.

In an interview on Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon on Monday, National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) Executive Director Glenda Relova said this is to eliminate fake PWD IDs, promote inclusivity, and improve legitimate PWDs' access to benefits.

The NCDA is an attached agency of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
