MANILA, July 4 -- The Philippine government's repatriation of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Israel continues, even with the lowering of the alert level due to the easing of tensions in the Middle East.
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), in a news release on Friday, said eight Filipino caregivers arrived safely at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Thursday evening aboard Philippine Airlines flight PR 0737.
They are the latest group to come home under the government's repatriation program, which started in October 2023.
This batch marked the 38th from Israel, and the second since the recent Israel-Iran conflict.
