Manila, July 3 -- The Philippine government remains relentless in assisting affected Filipinos amid the conflict between Israel and Iran, Malacanang said on Thursday.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said around eight distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Israel are expected to return home on Thursday night.

About 12 OFWs will depart Tel Aviv on July 4, while 25 others will be back home on July 6, Castro said.

Around 188 OFWs from Israel have also received financial assistance equivalent to USD200, while 304 OFWs have been given hygiene kits and food packs, according to the Department of Migrant Workers' (DMW) data presented by Castro during the Palace press briefing.
