Manila, Jan. 22 -- A transport group here is set to operate an initial 15 units of "modern jeepneys" in major routes in compliance with the government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). Robert Cang, president of the Public Transport Alliance of GenSan (PTAG), said Wednesday they are currently waiting for the issuance of a provisional authority from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to operate the new units.
