Manila, Jan. 29 -- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has called for the removal of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in schools, and advocated instead for the retention of the reproductive health education (RHE).

In a virtual briefing on Wednesday, the lawmaker said RHE aligns better with the intent of the Republic Act No. 10354 or the Reproductive Health Law.

"Kung ako ang tatanungin, dapat alisin na ito (CSE) at palitan na ng reproductive health education (If you ask me, it should be removed and replaced with reproductive health education)," he said, emphasizing that RH Law was designed to teach reproductive health, not sexuality education.
