Manila, Oct. 23 -- Efforts by foreign entities to manipulate public opinion and spread misinformation against the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are not working, as shown by the military's high public trust and satisfaction rating in a recent survey, the Department of National Defense (DND) said Thursday.

"The message is clear: foreign malign influence activities in the country, aided by efforts of disingenuous Filipinos with personal and political interests, remain ineffective in weakening the integrity of the military, the chain of command, and our enduring commitment to defend every inch of our territory," the DND said in a statement.
