Manila, Feb. 19 -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported a 21.7 percent drop in focus crimes in the first 46 days of 2025.
In a statement Wednesday, NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Antony Aberin said 667 focus crime incidents were recorded from Jan. 1 to Feb. 15, 2025, down from 852 incidents in the same period last year.
Aberin said this is the result of the intensified implementation of the Able, Active, and Allied policing strategy, which has reinforced crime prevention, operational efficiency, and community collaboration across Metro Manila.
Classified as focus crimes are murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, theft, robbery, vehicle theft, and motorcycle theft.
