MANILA, Jan. 31 -- First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos will be the Philippine representative to the World Governments Summit that will be held in Dubai on Feb. 11 to 13, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced on Friday.

"Only the First Lady," PCO Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez said, when asked if President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will be going to to the United Arab Emirates for the event.

In a Facebook post, Araneta-Marcos shared a photo of a preliminary meeting at her office, in preparation for her attendance to the summit.

In another post on her official Instagram account, the First Lady said she is "excited and a bit nervous" when she received the invitation to be part of the World Governments Summit.
