Manila, Oct. 28 -- National Security Adviser (NSA) Eduardo Ano on Tuesday said the majority of Filipinos' strong opposition to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) intervention in political issues, based on an OCTA Reasearch survey, could be attributed to the public's belief of civilian supremacy over the military.

"This confirms the public's steadfast adherence to the Constitutional principle of civilian supremacy over the military and Filipino's enduring belief in democratic processes and the rule of law," he said in a statement posted on the National Security Council (NSC) Facebook Page.
