MANILA, Dec. 3 -- Third seed Far Eastern University-Diliman defeated second seed University of Santo Tomas, 82-75, to reach the UAAP Season 88 boys' basketball finals on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Led by Dwyne Enriquez and Prince Carino, the Baby Tamaraws recovered from a five-game slump to arrange a best-of-three title showdown with the National University Nazareth School (NUNS) starting on Dec. 6 at the Big Dome.
FEU-D lost to NUNS, 66-78, and 68-72, in the elimination round.
It will be the second championship duel between the Baby Tamaraws and the Bullpups since the inaugural tournament in Season 86, when Rob Celiz's buzzer-beating triple gave NUNS its first U16 crown.
