Manila, March 21 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has collaborated with the Health and Dietary Supplement Association of the Philippines (HADSAP) to reinforce regulatory standards and industry compliance for health supplements.
In a news release on Friday, the FDA said it outlined the key points of Southern Cross Initiative and Task Force Thomson during a discussion with the HADSAP.
Both initiatives focus on policy development for traditional medicines and health supplements which are widely used in the country.
The FDA drafted an administrative order (AO) detailing good manufacturing practice and registration requirements for health supplements to foster transparency and industry collaboration.
