Manila, Oct. 28 -- The Department of Agriculture in Caraga Region (DA-13) released PHP66 million for livelihood support to 22 farmers and fisherfolk groups from various towns in the area on Monday.

The livelihood interventions are implemented under the agency's Livestock Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) program. Included in the program are modules for free-range chickens, ready-to-lay chickens, swine and goats provided to the beneficiaries.

DA-13 Director Arlan Mangelen led the series of release activities, urging recipients to develop their respective livelihood projects to benefit members and communities.
