Manila, Jan. 15 -- A remote public school in Talaingod, Davao del Norte, will receive additional classrooms built with disaster-resilient designs, the Department of Public Works and Highways confirmed.
First District Rep. De Carlo Uy announced the project Thursday after visiting KM 31 Integrated School in Barangay Dagohoy, a geographically isolated area where limited facilities and difficult terrain have long hampered education.
"DPWH confirmed that the proposed construction will prioritize durable, disaster-resilient designs suited for mountainous areas, with implementation targeted once final documentation is completed," Uy said in a statement.
