MANILA, March 19 -- Generally fair weather will prevail throughout the archipelago due to the easterlies, a forecaster said Tuesday.

"Isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms are still likely," Grace Castaneda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

"Severe thunderstorms could still cause moderate to heavy rains. Take precautions against possible flooding and landslides," she said.

Castaneda, meanwhile, said no weather disturbance was seen to affect the country.

PAGASA forecast light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across the country.
