MANILA, Feb. 19 -- Fair weather with isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will prevail across the archipelago on Monday, the weather bureau said.

"Generally fair weather will prevail over a huge part of the country, although rain showers are likely in the afternoon through evening," Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Obet Badrina said.

PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms could result in flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the whole country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Badrina said no tropical cyclone is expected to enter or develop in the country throughout the week.
