Manila, March 19 -- Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada on Wednesday underscored the need to equip government employees with artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge and skills, citing the growing role of AI in public service and global workforce trends.

"AI is transforming industries, and the government must ensure its workforce is prepared to adapt. Training civil servants in AI will enhance their capabilities and improve service delivery," he said in a news release.
