Manila, June 4 -- Senate President Francis Escudero on Wednesday denied the existence of an alleged resolution pending in the Senate aimed to dismiss the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, dismissing this as "a mere scrap of paper."

In an ambush interview, Escudero clarified that the Senate has not received or acted on any such measure, contrary to claims spreading on social media.
