Manila, Feb. 2 -- The weather bureau said on Sunday a large part of the country will experience warm weather due to easterlies as the northeast monsoon or "amihan" weakens.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Benison Estareja said the northeast monsoon will only affect extreme northern Luzon, particularly Batanes.
However, easterlies will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao regions.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains also caused by easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
