Manila, March 16 -- Parts of the country will experience rains on Sunday due to easterlies and the northeast monsoon or "amihan," according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies will prevail across Northern Samar, Albay, Sorsogon, and Catanduanes..
Batanes, Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte, meanwhile, will experience isolated light rains caused by "amihan."
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will likewise experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
