Manila, April 18 -- President Rodrigo R. Duterte said that he would soon bare the funding sources of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ), claiming the media organization is out to harm his reputation.

Duterte, who earlier described PCIJ journalists as "paid hacks" for writing a three-part report scrutinizing his family's wealth, said he could prove that they were indeed being funded.

"Yang Philippine Investigative, ilabas ko. May ilabas ako (I'm going to release something). Maybe this week. Puro bayad 'yan. ..puro pera-pera 'yan sila. Maniwala kayo (They're being paid. Believe me) I'll show you how," Duterte said a PDP-Laban campaign rally in Batangas on Wednesday.
