Manila, March 8 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is enforcing strict monitoring on groups granted public solicitation permits through its newly launched digital platform, an agency executive said Saturday.
The DSWD issues public solicitation permits to non-stock and non-profit organizations or social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs) to protect the public from falling prey to fraudulent solicitation activities.
During the Saturday News Forum in Quezon City, Director Megan Therese Manahan of the DSWD's Standards Bureau (SB) explained that groups must have distribution plans for intended beneficiaries.
