Manila, Feb. 6 -- With teenage pregnancy remaining a national concern, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is strengthening its services for adolescent mothers to ensure their psychological and social well-being as they navigate early parenthood.

Project Development Officer Diane Gianan of the DSWD's Social Technology Bureau said the agency is intensifying efforts in expanding its Psychosocial Support and Other Interventions for Adolescent Mothers and their Families Project (ProtecTEEN), which aims to prevent teenage pregnancy and support young mothers.
