TACLOBAN CITY, Nov. 21 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided at least PHP10.31 million worth of humanitarian assistance to families affected by Super Typhoon Uwan that battered Eastern Visayas earlier this month, an official said Friday.
As of Nov. 20, the DSWD has distributed 15,487 family food packs (FFPs), 733 ready-to-eat (RTE) food boxes, and 306 non-food items to affected households.
"The amount reflects the DSWD's ongoing commitment to deliver immediate and sufficient support to communities impacted by disasters.
