Manila, Sept. 3 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) is eyeing to complete the distribution of PHP2.2 billion worth of Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) to families affected by the prevailing trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) in three Davao provinces by October.

In a report on Wednesday, DSWD-11 indicated that 569,147 families in the region were affected, specifically in the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, and Davao Oriental.

Of this total, 168,873 families are from Davao del Norte, 217,784 from Davao de Oro, and 182,490 from Davao Oriental.

The agency said 270,175 beneficiaries across the three provinces have received ECT assistance.
