Manila, Jan. 22 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Thursday said the expansion project of a drainage system along G. Araneta Avenue in Quezon City is set to be completed next month.

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon, who inspected the project Thursday, said they are looking to finish in February the expansion works in the area prone to flooding.

"So, the first biggest thing we are doing, this repair of the drainage here in Araneta Avenue...in this portion before reaching E. Rodriguez, we are almost done here," he said.

The interventions done on the drainage system began late last year.
