Manila, June 19 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will reduce the load limit on the Dimasalang Bridge in Manila starting Saturday.
In an advisory issued Thursday, the DPWH-North Manila District Engineering Office (NMDEO) said the decision to lower the allowable load limit was a result of the latest inspection and load testing conducted on the structure.
"Starting June 21, 2025, a new load limit will be implemented," it said.
According to the DPWH, MS18 and Type 1-3 vehicles will only be allowed a load capacity of up to 9 tons, Type 1-1 and 1-2 vehicles of up to 8 tons, Type 1 2-2 of up to 11 tons and Type 1 2-3 of up to 12 tons.
