Manila, March 28 -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cordillera Administrative Region Director Khadaffy Tanggol on Friday advised motorists to observe speed and load limits and to drive defensively when traversing the roads in the region.

"Especially if they are not from the Cordillera, they should watch out for the curves of our roads, descending and ascending and watch out for falling rocks, which are not unusual in the region," Tanggol said.

Being located in the mountains, Cordillera provinces have narrow, steep, and slippery roads especially during rainy days, thus, precaution and preparedness are needed before traveling to any part of the region.
