Manila, Feb. 7 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a flood mitigation structure along the Mabiga River in Hermosa, Bataan.
In a report to Secretary Manuel Bonoan, the DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineering Office noted that the project serves as a crucial infrastructure upgrade, minimizing property damage and reducing transportation delays.
The PHP72.4-million completed project in Barangay Mabiga, funded under the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA), spans 558.09 meters and consists of a reinforced concrete slope protection system with an elevated foundation, ensuring structural stability and enhanced flood control.
