MANILA, May 28 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Wednesday reported the completion of a flood control project along the Rio Chico River in Guimba, Nueva Ecija worth PHP47.8 million.
In his report to Public Works Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH 3 (Central Luzon) Director Roseller Tolentino said the structure would bolster the community's resilience against flooding.
"This revetment project strengthens the community's capacity to withstand extreme weather by managing floodwaters and ensuring safety and economic continuity," Tolentino said.
