Manila, Feb. 17 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) inaugurated the PHP118.8 million newly constructed 50-meter bridge along the Santol-San Gabriel (La Union)-Kapangan (Benguet) Road in Santol town, La Union province.

In a statement on Monday, DPWH Ilocos Region information officer Esperanza Tinaza, said the bridge is expected to enhance trade and social services in the upland communities in the region.

It was designed to improve transportation and connectivity and features three spans of 15 meters, 20 meters, and 15 meters, supported by two piers and two abutments for enhanced structural stability.
