Manila, Dec. 10 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be working with other government agencies and the private sector to help clear "esteros" or creeks of obstructions.

In a statement on Wednesday, Secretary Vince Dizon said he will be coordinating with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), National Housing Authority (NHA) and some private firms in removing trees obstructing canals and providing proper relocation for informal settler families currently living along the esteros.
