Manila, June 16 -- Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon on Monday announced the immediate license suspension of a taxi driver who was caught on video trying to charge PHP1,260 for a ride from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.

In a press conference at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) headquarters in Quezon City, Dizon said the driver has already been slapped with a temporary license suspension, with the process for permanent revocation ongoing.

"Dahil ginawa mo 'yan, ire-revoke ang lisensya mo. Hindi ka na makakapag-maneho ulit ng taxi. Pasensya ka na. Kasi niloko mo kababayan natin (Because of what you did, we'll revoke your license. You won't be able to drive a taxi ever again....
