Manila, Feb. 27 -- Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon on Thursday ordered the creation of the Flagship Project Management Office (FPMO) to manage and fast-track priority transportation infrastructure projects.

The creation of the FPMO is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to speed up projects that improve connectivity and alleviate commuter woes.

According to Department Order 2025-002, the FPMO will direct policies and ensure "maximum effort" and allotment of resources relative to the implementation of priority infrastructure flagship projects (IFPs) as well as oversee and monitor their status.
