Manila, March 28 -- Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon assured the public on Friday that the recent incidents involving passengers allegedly carrying ammunition at airports are not cases of "tanim bala" or bullet-planting schemes.

Dizon was referring to three separate incidents: on March 20 and 24 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), where two passengers were caught with one and four bullets, respectively, and on March 27 at Clark International Airport, where a passenger was found with ammunition sealed in a can of shrimp paste.

At a press conference, Dizon said he would not tolerate wrongdoings among the agency's personnel.
