Manila, Feb. 28 -- The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is looking to partner with international aerospace company Boeing in the production and use of sustainable aviation fuel.
In a statement on Friday, the DOTr said there is sufficient agricultural waste feedstock in the country to meet its own jet fuel consumption needs, with potential for exports.
The statement was released following the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Forum 1 at the Westin Manila, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
"The success of the Philippines SAF Forum underscores our commitment to a sustainable aviation sector. By fostering innovation and partnerships, we are paving the way for the Philippines to become a leader in SAF production and usage," it said.
