TACLOBAN CITY, March 20 -- At least 15 sites in Leyte province have been identified for science tourism meant to raise awareness and appreciation of science, technology, and innovation through educational tourism.

Department of Science and Technology Leyte provincial director John Glenn Ocana said these sites will have to be validated by the Department of Tourism (DOT) for readiness and compliance with educational tourism standards.

Considered for the tour are the Eastern Visayas Science Centrum in Palo town, the TOFA coffee processing center in Kananga town, the Baybay sweet potato ice cream facility in Baybay City, and the Eastern Visayas Food Innovation Center in Tacloban City.
