Manila, March 6 -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has named two political parties classified as the dominant majority party and the dominant minority party for the May 12 midterm polls.
Under Resolution No. 11119 issued Thursday, the poll body declared Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) as the dominant majority party and the Nacionalista Party as the dominant minority party.
Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia said the dominant majority and minority parties would be given hard copies of the election returns.
They will also have their own servers, which they can use for quick counting of votes, and counter-checking of the poll results.
