Manila, June 17 -- The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday assured a prompt and thorough probe into the fatal shooting of an official of the House of Representatives.
Director Mauricio Pulhin, 63, chief of Technical Staff of the House Committee on Ways and Means, was gunned down over the weekend in an incident that has raised concerns over the safety of government personnel.
In a statement, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said the DOJ "strongly condemns" the incident and vowed justice for the slain official.
