Manila, May 8 -- Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Thursday assured that the case against the primary suspects in the kidnapping and murder of Filipino-Chinese steel magnate Anson Que and his driver, Armanie Pabillo, will be resolved purely on the merits of the case.

"We will be very fair. We're always fair. We try our best to just follow the rule of law," Remulla said in a chance interview with reporters.

Remulla said he has left to prosecutors the handling of the preliminary investigation.

"Ganun ka-detached ako sa preliminary investigation, kasi (That's how detached I am from the preliminary investigation because) I don't want to have an opinion on the matter. I want to see the results out there. Wala akong impressions tung...
